The Y and Rampfest presents: Skullcandy Moomba BMX Jam - powered by SOUNDBOKS
There’s a prize pool of $3000 up for grabs for the Open Divisions and the chance to show off your skills in front of the Moomba crowds.

Event formats* and scoring
- 10 & under, 12 & under and 15 & unders will have one round of 2 x 60 seconds runs on the course. The judges will score each run individually, only the best run is counted for the overall result.
- Opens division will have qualifiers and finals. During the qualifying rounds, you will have 2 x 60 seconds runs on the course, with both scores being averaged. There will be between four to 12 riders who progress to the finals, depending on the total number of entries. During finals, riders will have 2 x 60 seconds runs, only the best run is counted for the final score.
- The performance of each rider is judged on overall impression including, but not limited to:
- difficulty, height, flow, originality, versatilitystyle, consistency, variety of tricks, control of the tricks. progression, bike control, landings, use of the course, and execution.
- All judges’ scores are final.

Core BMX Series
The 2022 Moomba BMX Jam is the first of three qualifying events in the Core Series, co-hosted with Rampfest. Competing at Moomba will qualify riders to compete in the State Championships Final on 24 April 2022 at Rampfest.
The Grand Final at Rampfest is both a C1 event (UCI points awarded) and the State Championship.
Please note: the series is not a points accumulation.
