What is the Australian Skateboarding League?
The Australian Skateboarding League is a national skateboarding competition series that takes place throughout Australia, showcasing some of the highest levels of amateur and professional skateboarding for men and women.
The Australia Skateboarding League aims to promote Australian skateboarding and its talent to the mainstream media and communities across the nation. It is sanctioned by Skate Australia and delivered by the YMCA in partnership with the Victorian Skateboarding Association.
There are state and territory qualifiers held between September and February each year, which each have their own gender and age divisions. The National Championship takes place in March during Melbourne’s Moomba Festival, at Riverslide Skate Park.
Join Australian Skateboarding League
To join the Australian Skateboarding League you can enrol in a state qualifier for $25. The top five place getters from each state and age division will be invited to the National Championship, free of charge, to compete for prize money.
There are other ways to be invited to the Australian Skateboarding League National Championship: if a participant finishes in the top three places (for each age division) on their Skate Park Leagues state league ladder, or if they are a wild card entry.
